What Is eNSP Pro?
eNSP Pro is a device simulator launched by Huawei Data Communication Product Line. It mainly applies to data communication skill training and provides an environment for practicing command lines of Huawei data communication products.
What Are the Functions of eNSP Pro?
Enterprise network simulation platform (eNSP) Pro, also known as eNSP or datacom device simulator, is a device simulator launched by Huawei Data Communication Product Line. It mainly applies to data communication skill training and provides an environment for practicing command lines of Huawei data communication products. It has the following capabilities:
- Multi-product simulation: simulates a wide range of data communication products (such as NE series routers, CE series switches, S series switches, AR series routers, USG series firewalls, ACs, and APs), and terminals (PC-CLIENT, PC-SERVER/PC-DUAL, and STAs). The types of devices it can simulate will be continually updated.
- Configuration simulation: simulates command-based device configuration, supports features involved in HCIA-Datacom, HCIA-Security, and HCIA-WLAN certification, and continually adds advanced features involved in HCIE certification.
- Flexible deployment: supports flexible deployment in different environments, such as PCs and physical servers, in the form of a virtual machine (VM) image package.
The old datacom simulator has not been updated since 2019. The new datacom simulator — eNSP Pro — was officially released in June 2023. This article describes eNSP Pro.
How Can eNSP Pro Be Deployed?
eNSP Pro comes in two editions: standalone and cloud-based.
- Cloud-based eNSP Pro does not require deployment. Huawei channel partners can log in to the O3 Community, choose Home > ICT Products & Solutions > Learning&Enablement > Online Labs, click Online Simulator on the page that is displayed, and select the required eNSP Pro online simulator to reserve a lab. After the reservation is complete, Huawei channel partners can start the lab.
- eNSP Pro of the standalone edition needs to be deployed on a local PC. In this case, download the eNSP Pro VM image released on the Huawei enterprise technical support website and deploy it on a local PC running the Windows or Linux operating system. For details about the deployment procedure, see "Software Installation" in the eNSP Pro Product Documentation or watch the installation video eNSP Pro Deployment Guide.
How Do I Apply for eNSP Pro Permissions and Download eNSP Pro?
eNSP Pro is available only to certified partners, including authorized service partners (ASPs), service partners, business operations partners, and sales partners (excluding registered sales partners).
eNSP Pro is not available to registered sales partners, talent alliance partners, consulting and planning partners, solution development partners, investment and financing partners, industry partners, common registered users, and product customers.
After your company (ASP, service partner, business operations partner, or sales partner) completes the certification on the e+Partner website, associate your personal account with your company by referring to Huawei Enterprise Technical Support Website: How to upgrade to a Partner account. In this way, you can obtain the permission to use eNSP Pro, and then you can download the required eNSP Pro software from Support > Training and Certification Service > Certification and Talent Development > eNSP Pro > Software Download.

When using eNSP Pro, comply with related laws and regulations as well as Huawei's terms of use. Do not use eNSP Pro for illegal activities.
How Do I Use eNSP Pro?
After logging in to eNSP Pro, you can perform the following common operations. For details, see "Device Operation and Maintenance" in the eNSP Pro Product Documentation.
- Create a sandbox, which will carry all data in the current simulation environment. You can also import an existing sandbox file to quickly continue the previous lab task.
- Access the sandbox, add and connect required devices and terminals, add text, draw graphics, and perform other required operations to set up a desired network.
Setting up your network on eNSP Pro - Start a device, log in, and configure it. After the configuration is complete, you can export the configuration file. You can also import an existing configuration file before the device starts to quickly configure the device.
Configuring a network device on eNSP Pro - After your lab task is complete, if you want to save the result, export the sandbox file. The exported sandbox file contains the devices, graphics, text, cable connections, and device configurations, but does not contain the packets obtained by the devices.
